P6 for us in the 5th round of the European Le Mans Series in Spa. Considering everything that could happen to hinder our strategy DID happen, It’s a pretty good result.

I started the race, was able to stay out of the chaos at the first corner, and managed to make my way up from P9 to P1 to the end of the stint.
But, as it happened in Monza, a pretty big crash at Les Combes forced the entry of the Safety Car towards the end of my stint, and the 40sec gap accumulated vanished. I’ll be honest. It felt pretty frustrating.
From there, we fell to P8, and thanks to a great drive by my teammates, we managed to climb back up to P6 by the checkered flag.

The most important thing, we continued to build from the good feeling we had in Monza, and now we know that if everything works well and we have a bit (I’m not saying a lot, just a bit) of luck, we’re up there.
Endurance racing is tough. It’s not just “the fastest” wins. It’s a real “team” sport, and I love it for this. On to Portimao!
