Alessandro and the Action Kart Racing Team had a very good weekend for the 3rd round of North East Shifter Series at the Oakland Valley Raceway Park, NY.

From the free practice to the race, the contenders saw the #48 CKR – Debei kart only from the rear number, in fact Alessandro scored a hat-trick taking the pole position, winning the qualifying heat, the main event and setting the fastest lap.

A very good result, but not as easy as it seems, as the particular layout of the track and the big number of karts on track (almost 40!) offered a very challenging situation during the race, like a lot of lapping. The very bumpy surface of the track then put on the test the driver’s physical and mental strength.

Alessandro Bressan: “This weekend worked really well for us. Everything went smooth and I’m very happy. The race was tough, though. The grid was packed and after some laps it was easy to already catch the back markers. It was like living two races: The start, with some laps to concentrate on giving everything you’ve got, and then a sudden lapping/battle to get trough the traffic in the fastest way possible. Luckily it all worked out well, it was a lot of fun. As always I need to thank the Action Kart guys as well as CKR and Debei that are collaborating to let me race in the series in the best condition. Now I’m looking forward to the next race, which should present a faster layout, something that I think suits better my personal preference.”
