CES 2016

This year I got the chance of visiting the CES 2016, the biggest consumer electronic show in the World.

Since my last visit in 2012 things changed a lot but it was as usual a great experience for a tech geek like myself, having to see all the new solutions in technology that have the goal to make human life easier in the years to come! I was surprised by the amount of car factories present: a complete hall of the show was dedicated to the automotive industry! In my opinion, this is the sign that auto companies understood the big role that technology has in making cars better and safer.

The big themes were connected cars, electric powered cars and, of course, self-driving cars. One of the highlights was the Faraday FFZERO1, an insanely-good looking 1000 hp electric concept which really looks like a Le Mans contender from the future… And they are going to produce it in Nevada!

Aside from cars, what really got my attention was the Virtual Reality section. I got to try the latest version of the Oculus Rift (most likely the one that is going to be released to public) and I was hooked by it! It is really crazy to think where this technology is going and what it can do in the future.

Will we end up living parallel lives in our living rooms? Who knows!
