Great weekend for Alessandro and J3 Competition at Miller Motorsports Park for the Rotax Summer Shootout! Alessandro competed in 2 classes, DD2 and Senior Max, scoring 4 podiums in 4 finals, 3 of them in 1st place! A great conclusion of a long week which saw the J3 boys lead the pack in almost all the sessions.

DD2 was a pretty smooth job in both finals with Alessandro leading from the start with no threaths unti the end, after starting from the pole, and also setting the fastest lap.

The Senior Max field was very competitive with a lot of drivers in same tenth of a second. Saturday was a hat-trick with Alessandro setting the pole, pre-final and final win with the fastest lap as well.

On Sunday things got a bit more challenging, with the 3rd time in qualifying and a good pre-final where Alessandro was able to move up to 2nd. The start of the final from the external line didn’t bring any advantage to Alessandro which fell in 7th after the first corner where he almost got involved in a crash. With a vigorous recovery and a series of precise overtakes he moved back up on second, and set the attack for the top spot. At 5 laps to the end the battle for the lead was on, but a series of contacts saw him leave a gap to the leader. Alessandro closed the gap one more time, but it was not enough to make the final pass, ending right on the bumper of the winner.

A strong performance that set the lights on the Rotax Grand Nationals which will take place at the same track late in the month, precisely on July 20th.

Alessandro Bressan: “What a week! i think I did almost 400 miles on karts… It’s quite a bit! And doing it successfully is even better. I’m very satisfied with the performances we showed at Miller Motorsports Park. Great job as usual from the J3 Competition guys, their work is just amazing. We were able to compete succesfully in two classes with no sweat. We put down a lot of miles in order to be ready for the Rotax Grand Nationals, which is one of those big races in the year. I am confindent we’ll look pretty strong!”
